Conducted every six years since 1993, the aim of the Survey on Labour Relations and Agreement Negotiations is to understand the dynamics of industrial relations between management, employee representative bodies and employees. It is therefore made up of three sections: "management representative", "staff representative" and "employees".
The "management representative" section includes information on:
- The structure of the company and its economic position
- Human resources structures in the company
- Staff representative institutions and the respondent's view of employee representation
- Information, consultation and participation of employees in the life of the company
- Training and work organization
- Wage policies and wage discussions or negotiations
- Other topics of discussion or negotiation which have taken place over the last three years
- The social climate.
The scope of the survey includes establishments in the commercial and associative sectors (excluding agriculture) in metropolitan France excluding Corsica. Establishments may be fully-fledged companies or only one of the establishments of a company. Since 2011, only establishments with 11 or more employees are surveyed.
