DIFIREC
This project aims to explore the causes and impacts of recruitment problems in the French labor market. It particularly focuses on the persistent difficulties of certain sectors and professions in recruiting, as well as the more punctual challenges faced by others. Despite these recruitment difficulties, the unemployment rate remains above 7%. The main reasons for this imbalance between job supply and demand include a mismatch between the skills sought and those offered, as well as a geographical mismatch. International literature adds that job seekers may not be sufficiently informed of available positions, and employers may struggle to navigate the labor market and to correctly assess applications. This project, which includes several sub-projects funded by a grant from the European Research Council, seeks to provide empirical insights into these phenomena.
