In this project, which is part of the “Aurelia” Priority Research Project funded by France 2030, we aim to study the effect of changes in the supply of services. We hypothesize that the data on residential care facilities collected over the period 2003-2023 will enable us to analyze the changes in care for the elderly brought about by public policies, as well as the transformations in the populations supported by these facilities. Our ambition is first and foremost to conduct sequence analyses that will enable us to understand the transformations in support services by observing the evolution of different types of establishments at territorial level. This will consist in observing the phenomena of concentration, substitution and diversification of support structures. Next, we want to understand the transformation of support methods, based on the internal changes that have affected these structures in terms of staff and the public supported.
