Delayed retirement and consequences for the labour trajectories of the young

RETRAJE
The project will study the impact of the reform of the French retirement system approved in November 2010, particulary the increase in the early retirement age, on the labour trajectories of young workers, among others its effect on accumulated earnings and days of work, and their distribution across economic sectors and local labour markets. The main econometric strategy currently envisioned will exploit the eventual differences across geographical labour markets in the proportion of old workers that could no longer early retire as a consequence of the reform (so that, as a result, their jobs would not be 'freed' for the young)
