Which workers can still afford to live in big cities ?

TRAVILL
The aim of this project is to identify cities and professions for which it has become particularly difficult for workers to find a home in urban cores. More specifically, we will identify occupations and cities in which workers: i) conditional on working in an urban core, have experienced a particularly significant increase in their commuting distance; ii) conditional on working in a metropolitan area, have experienced a particularly significant decrease in the probability of working in the urban core. Then, using local house price indices, we will estimate whether rising house prices in urban cores explain these trends.
