The PestiRiv study is a joint exposure study conducted by Santé publique France and Anses. The aim of the study is to better understand the pesticide exposure of people living near vineyards, in order to determine whether they are more or less exposed than those living far from any crops. The results will make it possible to identify the sources that contribute most to exposure (air, food, domestic uses or professional activities) in order to limit them accordingly. The estimation of pesticide exposure is based on biological (urine, hair) and environmental (dust, indoor air, ambient air, self-produced foods) measurements, as well as on the use of data from questionnaires administered to participants and national databases, including the French agricultural register (Recensement général de l'agriculture). Data collection took place from October 2021 to September 2022, to cover the treatment and no-treatment periods of vineyards.
