TRASESU
This research project looks at the reconfiguration of access to higher education in the context of recent reforms to secondary education (e.g. reform of the general "lycée" and changes in access to higher education (Loi ORE). The project aims to examine how secondary/higher education transitions are organized today, and what impact recent reforms have had on high school students' career paths, their orientation choices, transitions to higher education, and the recruitment logics of higher education institutions. Orientation decisions and the choice of streams and specializations will be studied in the light of variables likely to explain different behaviors and decisions (economic and social background, cultural background, gender, geographical origin, previous academic career, etc.). The project aims to renew knowledge in areas often covered by the literature, but for which recent reforms are renewing the framework.
