Anses is carrying out expert assessments on the socio-economic and environmental impacts of agricultural practices and their changes in order to inform decision-making either based on proposals from the Agency itself (self-referrals) or at the request of its supervisory ministries or certain stakeholders (referrals). The objective of the project is to analyse current agricultural practices, the use of chemical and non-chemical inputs and the possibilities of adopting alternatives to chemical inputs and to assess the socio-economic and environmental impacts that could be caused by possible restrictions on the use of certain chemical inputs in farming.
