Access to higher education for vocational baccalaureate holders, from one allocation system to another (APB to Parcoursup)

BACCPRO
This research aims to study the evolution of the formal selection of vocational baccalaureate holders between 2014 and 2018. Recent reforms in the allocation of baccalaureate holders suggest that the strenghthening of the student's role in the guidance process, and thus the stronger individualization of choices, could contribute to increasing social inequalities in guidance. Conversely, in 'sections de techinicien supérieur', a certain number of admissions are reserved for vocational baccalaureate holders. This regulation is a selection criterion. These two public policies could decrease (for the first) or increase (for the second) the chances of formal selection of vocational baccalaureate holders in higher education. We hypothesize that the probability of vocational baccalaureate holders being admitted to a requested program has increased between 2014 and 2018, at the same time as the variety of programs to which they are admitted has decreased.
