As part of the Zone Atelier Armorique (ZAAr - https://osur.univ-rennes1.fr/za-armorique/), a long-term monitoring device studying the interactions between societies and their environments, researchers study how landscape influence the spatio-temporal dynamics of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, since the 1990s. Based upon agricultural and urban landscape gradients, monitoring of agricultural uses constitutes one of the pillars of the research activities conducted since then. The BIODIVE project aims in particular to answer the question “how to increase the capacity of public policies to take into account the actors and factors of the socio-ecological dynamics of landscapes, in order to better preserve their ecological and societal functions?”
