Following initial agreements between 5 security centers (CASD in France, CBS in the Netherlands, IAB and GESIS in Germany and UKDS in the UK), the IDAN (International Data Access Network), which facilitates the use of data by researchers, has now reached a further milestone.
The new website, which focuses on the heart of the system – the remote access points at each partner’s site for access to data from other partner centers – will enhance information on available data, its comparability and the research projects using the access points.
For centers and countries interested in joining the network, the site highlights the work carried out on the comparability of security requirements and sanctions, and the agreements reached on this basis between partners to enable the establishment of different access points at each partner.
