The Student Monitoring Information System (SISE) for Enrolments records all enrolments completed on 15th January of year N in the various higher education establishments. It concerns registrations taken into account for year N-1 and year N. Each enrolment is related to a student identified by their INE number, to a degree identified by its SISE code and to a location identified by its BCE-RNE number. Implementing this results reporting should make it possible to produce various indicators from the SISE information sources alone (university enrolments and results), thus ensuring overall consistency that was previously absent. In particular, it should be possible to analyze the attainment of a given degree according to the socio-demographic characteristics of students, their educational background or the discipline of the degree; to contribute to the assessment of education establishment policies; to study various specific effects, such as the effect of university branches or of location in a given type of urban unit, etc.; and to analyze student attendance at examinations. SISE Engineering School Graduates records student graduation from all public and private establishments, regardless of the ministry to which they are attached, authorized to issue an engineering degree by the Minister of National Education and by the Commission of Engineering Qualifications (Law of July 10th, 1934). Only engineering schools within universities are included in the SISE University database.
