The Student Monitoring Information System (SISE) for Enrolments records all enrolments completed on 15th January of year N in the various higher education establishments. It concerns registrations taken into account for year N-1 and year N. Each enrolment is related to a student identified by their INE number, to a degree identified by its SISE code and to a location identified by its UAI-RNE number. The purpose of this data collection is to obtain information on the number of students and their socio-demographic characteristics; to study the course of study in public and private higher education establishments; and to study migration and educational origins. SISE Engineering School Enrolments lists all public and private institutions, regardless of the ministry to which they are attached, which are authorized to issue an engineering degree by the Minister of National Education and by the Commission for Engineering Qualifications (Law of July 10th, 1934). Only engineering schools within universities are included in the SISE University database.
