TERLAB : Plough Lands Survey
+
Producer : Ministry of Agriculture (SSP)
Authorisation : Comité du Secret Statistique
The primary objective of the Plough Lands Survey is to estimate the yields of the main crops grown on ploughing land (also called "field crops") at the departmental, regional and national levels. It can also be used for early forecasts of changes in crop areas. The survey is conducted among farmers, and covers the area and yield of all field crops grown on the farm, the amount of water used for irrigating corn, and the sowing forecast for the next season. It was a sample survey of farmers re-surveyed each year until 2017, designed to gain information with an expected accuracy of 2% on grain production.
