Data on France's foreign trade primarily come from: - For trade in goods with other European Union member states, from declarations of trade in goods (DEB) until December 31, 2021, and from January 1, 2022, from the monthly statistical survey on intra-European Union trade in goods (EMEBI); - For trade in goods with other countries (referred to as "third countries"), from customs declarations (SAD). The DOU NC8 file contains data on imports and exports of goods with third countries, collected from the customs declaration (SAD). The NC8, an 8-digit Combined Nomenclature for the classification of goods, is the tariff and statistical nomenclature common to all European Union member states. There is a correspondence between the NC8 codes and the CPF codes (French product classification).
