EAPE : Annual survey on electricity production

The survey is used to respond to five annual joint IEA/Europstat questionnaires by energy type (electricity and heat, gas, renewables, coal and oil products), concerning energy statistics, and to the annual Eurostat questionnaire on cogeneration, concerning energy efficiency. It is also necessary for establishing France's annual energy balance and for responding to long-standing regional and local energy statistics, further developed as a result of the national commitment to the environment. The topics covered are as follows: - the production of electricity, as well as heat in the case of cogeneration - the electricity generation - electrical power, as well as thermal power in the case of cogeneration - the fuel consumption of conventional thermal sector power plants - and technologies used by conventional thermal sector power plants
