Self-entrepreneurship and Criminality

SELCRIM
Our project aims to assess the impact of digital platforms and self-entrepreneurship on the local economy and crime in French municipalities. We investigate how these new forms of work especially home delivery services, influence the socio-economic dynamics of cities. Despite their potential for economic growth, these platforms raise controversies related to job precariousness. For this study, we need access to detailed and confidential data from INSEE and the Ministry of Justice. We believe this research can help inform the debate on public policy and the role of digital platforms to increase economic growth and reduce criminality.
