Responses from companies to the rule of origin regarding relocation decisions in EU's FTAs

This project will investigate the impact of liberalising Rules of Origin (henceforth ‘RoO’) on sourcing of intermediate inputs by French firms and the resulting consequences for firm performance. It will examine how firms adjusted their outsourcing decisions in response to free trade agreements concluded by EU that featured a relaxation or harmonisation of RoO.
