Religion and migration : French Caribbeans in the Hexagon

ANTHEXA
This project investigates how religion – understood as beliefs, practices and institutions – shapes the experience of migration among French Caribbeans living between the Caribbean and the Hexagon (Ile de France), and their descendants. It sheds light on the complex relations between religion, migration and family transmission within the French national space. Based on qualitative and quantitative surveys, the project examines how the social context of migration reshapes religious practices and investigates the role of religious affiliation in experiences of integration and discrimination.
