In a context marked by COVID-19, the ecological transition and technological shocks, France is moving towards a reallocation of jobs towards innovative sectors. This reallocation, which is crucial to sustainable growth, requires effective public policies to facilitate the transition and minimise the short-term productivity loss due to the displacement of workers. In the long term, however, this reallocation should improve productivity through a better matching of skills and market needs, supported by the adoption of advanced technologies. This project assesses the role of the combination of policy and innovation in bringing about this transformation.
