CREERIS
The CREER project aims to theoretically and empirically understand how companies involved in international trade respond to weather events and environmental issues. First, the project will explore the effect of environmental policies on corporate productivity and test the Porter hypothesis (1991) and the pollution haven hypothesis (PHH). Second, it will study how climate shocks, particularly weather variations, affect companies' export strategies in markets. Empirically, the model will be tested using individual firm data. Finally, the project aims to assess the causal effect of corporate social responsibility certifications, provided by the French Standards Association (AFNOR) and B Lab, on "green" investment and the performance of the companies concerned.
