The first objective of this project is to update previous studies on the evolution of segregation in the Ile-de-France region. In particular, the aim is to continue to document the dual movement of impoverishment and 'middle-classisation' affecting working-class communes. The second objective of this project is to broaden the scale of analysis, to observe inequalities in household income on a national scale. The aim is to gain a better understanding of the specific nature of the Ile-de-France region in relation to other metropolitan areas, and also to include rural areas in the analysis of inequalities.
