Heterogeneity of companies and the labour market in terms of productivity and energy

HETENER
This project aims to analyze the allocation of workers in the labour market between companies of different productive and energy efficiencies. The literature is fairly dynamic, showing that company diversity in the labour market (often reduced to an indicator of value added per capita) is an essential dimension for understanding wage differences or the ways in which micro or macro shocks are diffused. Our project aims to characterize this diversity in a different way by taking into account energy consumption, which is an important element of the environmental impact of a company's activity. By looking at how employment and wages respond to this dimension, this project outlines a new way of linking the labour market (and the allocation of workers between companies) and environmental issues.
