A tool is being developed to monitor phytosanitary pressure on a territorial scale. This tool will enable local managers to accurately assess phytosanitary pressure. The tool operates by spatially disaggregating plant protection product sales data available at postal code resolution, the registered uses of these products, and the land use. Local managers can refine the calculation rules using local expertise regarding pesticide use. Finally, understanding plant protection practices enables targeted action, monitoring of territorial policies, and better guidance in the search for active substances in water.
