Development of virtual cohorts - first applications

This project, a first of its kind, aims to address chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) through virtual cohorts and applications, with the goal of extending this approach to other diseases. The objectives are to identify patients for early diagnosis, characterize progression markers, simulate current care practices, optimize healthcare resources and integrate these aspects into a virtual cohort simulatr. An algorithm for detecting COPD using logistic regression or neural networks will be developped, along with a differential algorithm to distinguish COPD from other diseases. AI methods will be applied to progression profiles and medico-economic models will evaluate the cost-effectivenes of therapies.
