In this project we study the APM (Admission Post-Bac) system to match students with their preferred higher education option. We investigate the impact of changes in the information students were given about their chances to be accepted. Furthermore, we use the ranking data to analyze preferences for different schools and majors. We then follow students during their higher education career to see if the matching system contributed to a better allocation of students to their school and major. Finally, we investigate the transition from the APM system to the Parcoursup system to see if this improved the matching and educational outcomes.
