Children in kinship care through the lens of the annual sensus survey

This research is part of a Ph.D. in demography whith the main objectives of: (i) quantifying the phenomenon of kinship care in France using annual census surveys and comparing the number of identified situations to the number of placements recorded by child protection services; (ii) using the same database to describe the sociodemographic characteristics of kinship households and childrenin care, (iii) conducting inetrviews whith kin to understand the factors that influence the "choice" of families to formalize or not the care of their children by kin and identifying the peculiarities of these two modes of kinship care.
