Employment dynamics and productivity growth are at the center of political agendas because of their crucial role in the wellbeing of societies and in a nation’s competitiveness on the global market. We will measure the influence of economic policies on corporate dynamics, productivity and resource allocation to the most productive ones (allocation efficiency, Bartelsman et al. 2013). The project is part of a larger initiative led by the OECD, aiming to analyze the employment dynamics and productivity levels in several countries. Consequently results for France will be compared to similar statistics obtained for other countries, which offers an opportunity to conceive an economic policy which would be based on reliable empirical results obtained from microeconomic data.
