CASD has signed a contract with Meta for the use of secure bubble technology for secure researcher access and processing.
The first step will be to validate the end-to-end access procedure, from request to actual access by researchers (2 in the Netherlands and 1 in France). In particular, this will involve taking into account the EDMO (European Digital Media Organisation) proposal to set up an Independent Intermediary Body (IIB) to examine access requests.
The pilot’s conclusions should be published in the first quarter of 2024.
