The third peer review takes place in 4 stages:
1- The self-assessment: INSEE and the 3 Ministerial Statistical Offices being audited filled-in a self-assessment questionnaire based on the principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice.
2- The peer review visit: a group of four peers met with the national statistical authorities. The visit took place in France from 28 June to 2 July 2021.
3- The peer review report: after their visit, the peers wrote a report including an overview of the situation, together with recommendations as to how compliance with the principles of the Code of Practice could be improved.
Next: The action plan: after publication of this report, Insee the Ministerial Statistical Offices (including those that do not produce European statistics), the CépiDC as well as the CASD are defining the relevant improvement actions and their implementation schedule.
