Long-awaited secure remote access to the highly detailed or sensitive data available at the UKDA (UK Data Archive) is now possible from France under the terms of the IDAN (International Data Access Network) network of secure centers.
For more information, see the UKDA and IDAN websites for a catalog of surveys available from France, and the UKDA authorization procedures, and the CASD website for booking procedures once authorization has been obtained.
The IDAN network has thus taken a major step forward in facilitating work using confidential data from several countries, with most German data from IAB and GESIS, Dutch data from CBS, British data from UKDA and French data from CASD now remotely accessible on the same physical site, from all these centers.
